I used the Viva la Verve September week 4 sketch to make a card.

I have had this paper and love it so it is coming out of my stock to a finished card!!

Morning Person

Have you had your morning coffee yet? Here is a great picture to get you started. I found this cup and knew it had to be posted to the Coffee Lover's blog hop!!

It says "I believe there is not enough coffee in the world to make me a morning person"!

Using the new this year colors from Tim Holtz, Abandoned Coral and Cracked Pistachio the background was created.

Stamps Used: Bugaboo and STAMPlorations. Now I have to send out some love here because the sentiment is from my niece's new line at STAMPlorations Big Grins by Becca. You can catch her at The Damsel of Distressed Cards. http://www.damselofdistressedcards.blogspot.com/

Coffee Is My Blood Type

What can I say...hook up the coffee IV and let the infusion begin!!

I saw this sentiment and had a vampire stamp to pair it with. It might be my sense of humor but laughed at the whole idea!

Since this is the fall Coffee Lovers blog hop Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio and Vintage Photo DI were used to create my background paper.

Is It Coffee You Want?

Sometimes you are unsure of what someone wants. This card clearly indicates that coffee is what is wanted.

This is this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch #287.

I like to take my long stamps and use them by turning and stamping with them. The zig zag is a straight stamp that I layed a circle template down and then stamped around it. This way, the stamp gives you more uses.

Stamps used: STAMPlorations, So Suzy Stamps and a vintage TAC stamp.

Falling Leaves

It is time for pumpkings, apples and leaves!! I went into the archives to find my leaf stamps and I am so excited to use them.

I stamped and distressed the papers. I wanted to try to bring yellow, red and orange into the front. I took the pennant and stitched around it on my sewing machine for added texture and the House of Cards stitch it up challenge.

The Viva la Verve sketch is so awesome that I wanted to use it.

EEEK!!

My sister, Paula, sewed this card for my son Wyatt. She poked holes and then ran thread in a process called paper piercing. It is just darling and then she added googly eyes and web paper to finish it off! Paula does not have a blog so I am entering her card in the House Of Cards stitch it up challenge.

Crisp Autumn Leaves

It was a crisp morning today and the leaves are starting to drop. I love when the leaves start to show their splendor of yellow, red and orange.

I saw the Sweet Sunday sketch and wanted to use it to make a card.

I stamped the background paper and distressed all papers in Vintage Photo DI. Leaves were rolled in yellow, orange and red distress ink. Leaves and acorns were fussy cut and popped up. Twine and Doubleclick skittles were added.

Wanna Chill Out

It is the weekend! My son is going to his friends house to hang and I, the remote, and a bucket of popcorn will be chilling out at home!! Now, I have to say my son has been a quiet kid except this year he has taken up the tuba and electric bass. Needless to say, quiet Wyatt is now rocking like a teenager and the house is starting to jam!! So this weekend, I wanna chill out

Using a Unity quick tip, I made the banner by moving washi tape down and adding distress ink to make the stripes on the banner. The base card is embossed with squares. The ice cupes were popped up.

One of my favorite things in the fall is the bright yellow sunflower mixed in with the oranges and greens. I just love how the sunflower turns its head to catch the sun.

Watercolored Butterfly

My sister, Julie, dragged out this set of watercolrs that sparkled before my eyes. It was creativity in a box!! I looked them over and my eyes were drawn to the reds, yellows, orages, blues and greens. They were the bright colors in the box, soft and welcoming.

I stamped a butterfly in versa mark and embossed in black the butterfly. The black needed to stick out amongst the vivid colors it would be surrounded by. Then, the waterc oloring began.

I stamped happy birthday on a circle and attached it in the open space.

Signs of Autumn

It was a brisk 40 degree morning here in Wisconsin. Should warm up to 80 degrees today. I am freezing apples and my house smells like fall, apples and cinnamon...yummo! Yes, my friends, autumn is in the air.

I am using my favorite (as of late) technique. You stamp your images, in this case, the leaves on the tag. Then using strips of washi tamp, place them over the stamping in a row. I used 3 colors and 3 pieces of washi tape. Remove the top piece of tape and sponge your color. Cover that up with the washi tape and remove your second strip of washi tape and sponge your color. You move down the tage alternating your colors. A bit putzy but fun.

Like You A Latte

Today I totally CASEd Shery's card from STAMPlorations. This is such a fun design and very a very different format for me. I think I tend to do clean cards. Straight lines, neat and orderly. But this card...it is stamped all over, wherever and is so much fun!!

This was made using sets from Hero Arts,a NBUS So Suzy Stamps and a postage stamp that is vintage!!

Birthday Butterflies

Sending birthday wishes to my sister, Julie. She loves butterflies and the sketch at STAMPlorations works perfeclty. I also got to use the Trendy Butterflies that have sat uninked for a while. Thank goodness it is birthday time!!

I wanted to give this card a clean and contemporaty look. After stamping the graphic images, I colored a few of the graphics on the top and bottom. I wanted to make this colorful so I stamped the different butterflies in Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed DI. A leaf punch was used for the butterlies to gather.

Amigos

The Mixed Media card challenge this month is friends. What a perfect way to use this stamp set that has been untouched since I purchased it. I stamped the chili peppers in red and then put white glue on top to give them a waxy look. Tiles were used to spell out Amigos. The background was made by using distress inks and the netting is made with gesso.

Caution

Are you ready to bring out the fall colors? I am ready for the leaves to start crunching and the hoodies to unfold! With that, come the oranges, yellows, greens and browns. Well, I cannot forget purple to add a burst of color to fall cards.

I started by stamping stars and the months in the background. Using orange, purple and green the edges of the inner card were done. I wanted a darker look so I used black to cast the eerie feeling. A few black splatters were added. The mummy and caution signs were stamped on a seperate sheet of paper, cut out and popped up. I just recieved my So Suzy Skittles and was excited to add them.

Hope you did not get scared!!

Burning Rubber

My grandson, Riley, who is three loves crafting. When I went to the mailbox , there was some fun mail from him.

The inside had his sticker collection and a little note. When he is at my house, I pack a picnic in a zip lock bag to eat on his long one mile home!!

Well, he needs a little fun mail so I made him a card. Riley love motorized everything. I thought a hot rod would be perfect for him.

I put yellow and orange distress paint on my flame embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug. Then I stamped and colored the hot rod.
