Good To The Last Drop

Coffee, liquid sanity, sweet brown goodness, good to the last drop!!

I  am having fun  with STAMPlorations new  set, A Cuppa Love.   I am also trying to blend my coloring.  I have been intrigued with the muliti colored word dies and tried blending on the word and coffee drop.

Notice all the numbers behind the cup?  I lost count of how many cups of coffee I had today!!  LOL!

MHK Designer Inspiration: Jerrie

WowZa friends...2016 has flown by!  Today is a posting of my favorite cards made using MHK Designs and digital paper.

I have two favorite images that I have used for a few years.  I think they remind me of my childhood when we would spend hours sledding, skating, playing broom ball and other outdoor activities.  My father and four siblings made fantastic snow hills and played broom ball in  the driveway.  The neighborhood kjds would come over and join in.  My mother had a big bucket of homemade snowmobilers hot chocolate to warm up with!

I am looking forward to see MHK Designs new releases for 2017!  Thank you for checking in and leaving such kind comments this year~

Christmas Scape

Today I am inspired with the color white.   I was not sure how a white card would turn out, but I like the finished card.

In the challenges this card is linked to, there is a large area of white in the photo or the theme is white and that is what I pulled my inspiration from.  White also makes me think of ice and snow...especially now in Wisconsin!!

The second thing was the boughs or word Christmas.  First I think of the birth of Jesus.  Then it makes me think of the greenery of the Christmas trees and wreaths.

Then, in the  inspiration  photos,  there is texture.  So, I put Versa Mark through the stencil and embossed with white embossing powder.  The candles were dipped on the top several times to give it a melted candle look.  The flames were colored with copics.  A die cut and punched greenery were added.  A gold string and red berries embellish the arrangement.  Then for a frosted look, glitter was added to the greenery in the arrangement.

Winter Coffee

Some winter weather is expected today in Wisconsin, 2 to 4 inches of snow!!  Sounds like a great day to stay inside and drink coffee, the magical brown liquid!!

Today's card uses embossing,  rock and rolling blue inks, fussy cutting and a dusting of spray Pearl Ex!  I thought this would be a good Valentine card.

The Write Stuff

Hello, hello my dear friend.   The Write Stuff from  MHKDesings screams vintage!  I remember my Aunt typing me letters on a typewritter like the one in the image!

I had some great telephone paper and thought it would mix well with the image.

Thanks for stopping by and send someone an old fashioned hello...it would make their day!

Coffee In A Snowglobe

On cold  days  like  this, coffee tastes so  much better!!

Using silver string, distress ink, photo paper, card stock, embossing paper and Copis, this winter scene inside the snowglobe was created.  I used photo paper so it appeared like you were looking through the glass of a snowglobe!

Larissa is my coffee exchange partner this month and this card is heading toward...Texas!!

To Much Peppermint

This card hits my funny bone!  My sister in law, Dawn, made these sugar free truffles for our holiday coffee.  These truffles melted in your mouth and there were three flavors, mocha, orange and almond joy.  These sugar free morsels were the best thing I have tasted for being sugar free.

Dawn gave me the recipe and I purchased the ingredients...five ingredients, two minutes to make...perfect for any get together.  Well, I made a batch of peppermint truffles and added way to much peppermint.  Ricky tasted one, shuttered and said "these taste like Listerine balls!"

So when I see the peppermint on this card,  I giggle!

Vintage Paper

Decreasing the hoard is my goal and when Catch The Bug host a challenge to use old paper...I have a lot of old paper!!  I think this paper is at least 7 years old...but 7 years can be a good thing!!

Along with old paper, use an old image.  This is one Bugaboo had for a freebie.
