Fishing on the Fly

I was ready to try stenciling on cardstock after using newsprint for my last few projects. I wanted to do a fishing card so I used the Shutters stencil from STAMPlorations. I used Peacock Feathers DI and stenciled the background with lighter and darker areas. Then I stamped a fish and colored it. I covered it with Diamond Glaze because fish are shiny coming out of the water. After cutting the fish out and popping it up, I used the STAMPlorations Holidy Artsy and stamped the water. A lure, bobber and fish line was added to complete the card.

  3. This is really a fabulous fishing card - my dad would love this - he is a big fisherman and I always tried to give him a fishing themed card!! Love the way that shutter background looks - perfect for the fish - and what a genius idea to use fishing line to wrap around the card - what a great stamper and creator you are!!!
