Simply Roses

This stamp is an oldie but a timless goodie.  I like the two step stamping in a light color and then a darker color.

Using my scraps, all the  pieces are from cards cut to short or paper left over.  Why not use the magazine that would otherwise hit the garbage?  I love using newsprint.  Then a little white embossing on black paper finishes this card off.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a great day!

Oh My, Butterfly

I saw Barbara's technique and was so impressed with it, I had to try it.  I was so nervous because you cover everything up with black DI.

I sprayed the distress sprays on the paper.  Then I layered  die cuts on top of the paper and covered the whole thing with Black Soot DI.  When it dried and I removed the die cuts...magic happened.  I splattered some white paint on the front layer and black paint on the back layer.  The butterfly and Happy birthday are embossed.  I added a few white punched pieces and OH MY, BUTTERFLY!

Bubbles Happen

I was so excited when this set arrived in the mail.  I have tons of uses for this stamp and you will probably see it appear frequently on my blog!

I made this birthday card for my sister who has been quite a traveler this year.  She went to Murtle Beach, South Carolina.  Shortly after, she went to Hawaii and California.  It is just March Paula...you can not travel the world in one year!!  She has SCUBA certificate  and likes to go diving.

I made a second card to add to the box to send to a children's hospital.  I thought a boy could relate to the sentiment and would make him laugh!

I made a CAS card.  I masked and stamped the background netting look and then stamped the coral and turtle.  Using Peacock Feathers DI to add the water.

MHK Designer Inspiration: Jerrie

Welcome to the March MHK Designs chaallenge!  The grass is turning green and spring is on it's way!  How about a bright, colorful spring card.

Using the Beauty set, this image was stamped.  Then, another flower was stamped and popped up.  This flower set is so dainty.

The sentiment is from the Birds and Branches set.

Coffee

Are you into mineratures?  If so, this card is perfect for you!  The finished size is about the size of a post it note.  It is also a ton of fun to make!

Isomg a scalloped circle die cut, I made a side step rocker card.  It sounds intimidating but is quite easy to do.  Decorating it is fun with all the great coffee images out there!
