Owlways Celebrate

There are many things to celebrate as we close out 2017.  I am getting my party face on as I head to North Carolina to see my son, daughter in law and three grandchildren.  I am ready for the house to bounce and tons of hugs and kisses.

Wishing you all a happy 2018 and holidays that are filled with family, love and fun.

Open Sleigh

Sledding by to wish everyone a very happy holiday season.  This is the last theme and sketch challenge for the year at STAMPlorations.  We will be ringing in the new year with more sketches and challenges in 2018!

The card today uses frequently used stamps by me.  I love the delicate snowflakes, the sled with presents and the sentiment is so perfect.

As the year is completed, Shery, our fantastic leader will be welcoming a little girl into the world.  Wishing her a speedy recovery and all the fantastic things that come with children!

Thank you for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments you have left on my blog.  Looking forward to seeing your creativity in 2018!

The Stockings Were Hung

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, note a creature was stirring not even a mouse.  The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St Nick soon would be there.  Wait, stop the poem...St Nick has filled the stockings!  For Pa, he brought a hammer, for Ma a jumbo cup of coffee and for Junior a stuffed animal!

Hope your Christmas season is merry and bright!

Iced Coffee

How about a little iced coffee brought to you by some adorable penguins.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your coffee, cocoa or tea today!

Frozen Coffee

                                            t's winter in Wisconsin
                                          And the gentle breezes blow
                                               Seventy miles an hour
                                                   At twenty-five below.
                                              Oh, how I love Wisconsin
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
                                             I could never leave Wisconsin
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

Welcome to my winter wonderland!  This poem goes great with the card today.  It looks like a frozen wonderland of coffee!  It is just perfect for the winter

Gift Bags Galore

Todoay it is a cut, score and glue day.  It is gift bag galore!  These bags are for a baby outfit and a benefit that will hold homemade cards.

The best way to SHUZZ something up is by the wrapping.  So using different colors of patterned paper, gift bags were made.  I just need to go to the craft store to find some bling to add where the handles connect with the bag.

Thanks for stopping by and SHUZZ it up!!

A Frosty Hello

This is what Wisconsin looked like today minus the penguins!  It rained through the day and snowed at night while we were sleeping.  It is icy and cold.  They say that an artic blast will come through this week and perhaps, deliver some penguins!

Hope you stay warm, enjoy some cocoa and create some cards!

It's Penguining To Look A ot Like Christmas

Are you ready for some penguin pun?  We were stamping with my niece and she pulled out this sentiment and all of us giggled.  I knew I had to stamp a few and add my favorite penguin stamp with it!

I made two cards, one with stars and one with sequins.  They are both punny!

And with sequins.

Oh So Grateful

Can you ever have enough gold?  The theme at STAMPlorations is stamps and gold so it is time to bring it on!  The golden pumpkins and Christmas trees are so eye catching and elegant to me.  If they can make it out of other materials, it can be made out of paper!

Using your stamps, the background images were stamped along with the Oh so grateful  pumpkin.  This gives you placement for the gold pumpkin.  Then, the pumpkin was stamped twice on different gold paper.  The center of the pumpkin was cut from the gold star paper and the complete pumpkin was cut from the gold paper.  The center of the pumpkin was adhered with pop dots.  The leaves were also stamped several times, colored, cut out and popped up in different areas.

STAMPlorations Stencil Bloghop

You are going to LOVE the new stencil release at STAMPlorations!

For this first card, distress ink was sponged through the Flowers 1 stencil.  Then, Versa Mark was sponged through and thick clear embossing powder was applied.  Yellow gems were added to the center of the flowers for sparkle!

On the second card, gold embossing paste was spread through the Leaves 1 stencil  The Fowl Play stamp setwas  stamped and colored and layered on the card.

If you have never stenciled before, it is easy.  Many mediums can be used with stencils.  Challenge yourself to use a stencil and see how fun it can be!

But First, Coffee

Just a little humor today to make a card for Simon Says food or drink challenge.   A wise stamper once showed me how to do a continuous stamp design.  You cut the front paper and lightly adhere it to your base cardstock.  Then you stamp the images.  When you seperate it with the middle colored cardstock it looks continuous.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your beverage!

Santa

AAH, the 25th day of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Now that the tags are done, it is time to start wrapping the presents and tagging them!  The last day of the event would not be complete if there was not a Santa tag.  Using Tracey's inspiration, the santa and sentiment, the tag is complete.

Thanks for stopping by and wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas!

Caroling

It is time to tear it up with this Deck The Halls card.  After tearing strips of paper, they were glued onto the base cardstock.  With blue, purple and a metallic gelato stick, color was added to the cardstock.  It was fun smearing it around and adding color here and there until it looked like it was time to add more elements.   The background was stamped with months and the deck the halls image. The large snowflake was embossed with silver,  White snow was added with distress spray.  The duo of rabbits were colored and cut out.  Lastly the snowflakes and music notes were added.

Is it time to start playing that Christmas music?

The Season Of Joy

The STAMPloration gals are up with their tags today and I am loving Vicki's kraft tag with the white streaks in the background with the decorated tree in front.  Using a STAMPlorations stamp, the tree was cut, colored and decorated.  It is now ready to join the festivities at 25 Days Of Christmas Tags.

Wishing everyone a season of Joy!

Poinsettia For You

Day 21 and these tags are stacking up!  There will be tags on presents and som I am converting for use on cards.  In the end, they will all be used up!

Today I am inspired by Tracey's tag where her image is in the upper left corner and the wording is on the bottom.  I found this stamp and thought it would do the trick.  The white areas in the poinsettia are on purpose.  It reminds me of the poinsettia they spray with white at Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have your Christmas fever!

Celebrate The Season!

Day 24 and we are winding down at 25 Days Of Christmas Tags.  Lindsey has ihnspired ths tag with her image in the center and the wording at the bottom of the tag.  This set is a year old and it is time to ink it up and create with it!

Thanks for stopping by and let the holidays begin!

Magical Holiday Season

25 Days Of Christmas Tags is on the 19th day.  They have tags that make it look a lot like Christmas!  Teri created a tag that inspired me today.  I did not have small stamps so I used pattern paper instead.  These tags are so fun to CASE and I have gift tags for the holiday season!

Have a creative day!

Snowball Fight

A little humor today playing with Twenty Five Days Of Christmas Tags.  Lindsey made a punny tag with a moose iceskating.  I dug deep into my stamp stash and found these stamps to create some humor.

Ice Cream For Sure!

There is still time to join us at STAMPlorations for the November Theme And Sketch challenge!  You can use the theme or the sketch to play along.

I scream for ice cream!  Do you have a favorite flavor?  Chocolate peanut butter revel gets a vote from me...YUMMO!

This card uses the Sweet Cravings stamp set and matching die set.  I also used the ATC Tag Builder die.  Acrylic paint was used for the medium on the second layering pieces.  The ice cream cone was framed to highlight the ice cream cone and all of it's goodness...it does contain calcium!

Now I am hungry!  If you would like to save 20% on your STAMPlorations order, use STAMPGIRLJERRIE.

The Stockings Were Hung

 tags
Today's tag, inspired by Lindsey. brings back so many childhood memories.  Each Christmas our stockings were put on the brick fireplace in hopes that Santa would come and fill them to overflowing!  Santa was always very good to us!

Thans for stopping by and I hope your holiday season is magical!

Golden Reindeer

Today's golden reindeer tag is inspired by Ardyth's tag.  I love the design of the tag and the kraft paper at the top.  I drug the sewing machine out and both I and Ricky tried to thread it.  AARG, that hole in the needle is LITTLE!  My friend came by and got the job done so I could stitch around the tag.

Simon Says has a its a stitch up challenge and I decided faux stitching would not be good enough for this challenge.  Now that the machine is out and threaded...I have a few quilts to finish...hopefully the needle does not come unthreaded!

Simon Says also has a fur friend challenge and this deer fits into the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and stitch it!

Welcome to this stop on the 3rd annual Giving Thanks blog hop and Wishlist Linky Party.. These cards are using the Words Of Gratitude 4x6 stamp set.

A steampunk masculine card is up first.  The stamped image is embossed with black embossing powder and blends into the steampunk theme.

Now a feminine card using the Words Of Gratitude 4x6 set and Blooming Buds.  A marker was used to add colors to the words and rays to match the floral boquet.

A Tag A Day

Catching up with tags for the Twenty Five Days Of Christmas Tags.  Day 13 I was inspired by Miriam's monocrome tags with triangles, different shades of color and the gold script.  Using purple and trying to vary the shades, distress ink was pounced through a triangle stencil.  The gold sentiment was added.  Then I added gold to the edge because you can never have enough gold!

Day 14 Tracy has inspired me with her wreath.  I have a double stamp wreath I have been wanting to use.  The sentiment is embossed in white and add such a festive touch to the wreath.

AAH, caught up on my tags.  Time to have a cup of coffee and wait for day 15!
