Monochrome

Brown seems to be a color that keeps popping up in my paper cupboard.  Since it seems to want to be used, a coffee card will be perfect!

I stamped the background with a lacy print.  The edge of the white paper is boardered in brown and distressed.  Anytime is coffee time!

To Fab For Your Negativity

My sister likes snarky cards and there is a little group that exchanges cards ever other momth,  I decided this would be the exchange card.  While I was scrolling through the internet, I saw this image and the image I put inside the card.

I think I laughed a few minutes thinking of the reaction my sister would have when she opened the card...she laughed and said she had the perfect person to send the card to.

Moonlight Deer

Today I am trying Jennifer Mcguire's letter press technique.  Using three circles, creating the setting sun on an autumn night was the goal.  I used the Simon Says Wednesday mood board for my inspiration.  In Wisconsin, the sun goes down and you can see the deer grazing on the edge of a field.  Sometimes you can count up to a dozen deer in the distance.

The last circle looks line the moonlight is shining catching a glimpse of the deer.

This is a fun technique.  You use three die cuts stacked and glued together with a die cut of vellum on the bottom.  You dab or rub your die ink on the vellum and them place it where you want it on your card.  Then you run it through the embossing machine and it presses the ink and image into your cardstock.  I added the deer and the stamped leaves.

Framed Reindeer

A rustic, artsy and grungy card is ahead!

This is a card to send to my woodsy, rustic friends.

To start the white panel, using acrylic paint and my finger, four smearsm went down the panel.  While this was drying, the frame was cut using the Camping Out Cricut cartridge.  The reindeer was stamped and colored.  Then, I asked myself...why didn't you buy the matching CUTploration?  So, yes, it is cut out with scissors.  The coordinating die has been ordered though! Grunge was stamped on the card.

Another card was made using red, brown and black.

And some plaid paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Santa

Ho, Ho, Ho...time to make a Christmas card.  My son is going on a band trip to Chicago and we needed a fundraiser to get him there.  The class has been selling pumpkins, now they are selling fruit and I thought a card camp fundraiser would be the perfect way to help!

Because there will be people who have not made cards before and we will be on a time frame, it is keep it simple and cute.

Now, it is off to cut paper and get ready for the event!

My Best Friend

The sentiment  on this card from a dog's point of view makes me giggle!  Perhaps this is why we should have a dog!!

Because the sentiment is bulky, the design was kept to one side of the card.

Have a doggone good day!

Song Birds

I was told once when I was going through a rough time, rember the tea pot...even though it is up to its neck in hot water...it still sings!

This sentiment is perfect for thinking about that friend that just needs a little pick me up!

The background is distress spray through a stencil.  The birds are cut from a STAMPlorations die.  The sentiment is in the coordinating stamp set.

Set Your Soul On Fire

This typografia stamp was so much fun to create with.  Flames were embossed in the bard base and color was added until the fire looked  smoking hot.  The fire looks like a bonfire on steroids!  The black striped paper defined the layers.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

A Little Birdie Told Me

A little birdie told me colder weather will be moving in and they are gathering for their flight to  find warmer weather!

This is my favorite bird in the For The Birds set because Iowa, our neighbor state is part of the print on the bird!

This card has washi tape at the bottom,  a few die cuts, pearls, and embossed stamping.
