I "SEA" Coffee

Do you "sea" coffee?  This is a humorous take on the wording!!  These cute sea turtles are doing all they can to bring the coffee lover's some coffee delingt!

This is a box card, so it can be foled up and put in an envelope.  When the receiver opens the envelope, pop, up comes a card!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your cuppa joe while hopping!

Happy Birthday ASHA!

Hello, and welcome to our SURPRISE Birthday Beach Blog Hop for the lovely Asha!  You should have arrived here from Donna's  blog.  If not, start at the MHKDesigns blog to complete the hop for more chances to WIN!  We are celebrating a very special lady today, and we're doing so by creating beachy birthday cards to wish her many happy returns!

I just love this image.  Because I am not a snail fan, the inage was cut at the beach line and around the lower portion of the girl.  Sand like paper was placed under the part that was removed.  Beachy Keen comes with some great sentimnets and one is a birthday sentiment that was printed on vellum.  Shells were added to finish the card.

Thank you so much for joining in our hop to say "Happy Birthday" to a dear friend!  Your next stop on the hop is Jessica's blog.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

LOVE me some Summer Coffee

Here is a cup of summer coffee fun!

Using the STAMPlorations large cup stamp...why go with small when we are talking coffee!  The background was created by pushing distress inks through a stencil and stamping some coffee beans on.  Flowers were added to the coffee band.  Of course, Love had to be blinged up because we are talking coffee here!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your GRANDE coffee today!!

Tea For Two

Hi coffee lover's!  A little switch a roo with a tea card!  I am just loving these box cards as they are so much fun to make and for the receiver to get in the mail.

This summery tea setting has flowers from the garden and bon bons on the serving tray!

Okay, I promise no more box cards.  Hope you have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly Elements

Butterflies hover when ever a loved one is near.  I love that saying and whenever I see something buggerfly, I think of that saying.  Butterfly Elements has great inages and sentiments.

Using some distress sprays, the background and sentiment piece were created.  A die cut was layered between the background and the sentiment.  Some leafy branches were punched for the butterfly to nest on.  Photo corners were added to two corners to frame the sentiment.   The card is finished with ribbon, a button and some dots.

Here's hoping all your days are filled with butterfly kisses!

I've Been Framed June Release

Today we are talking masculine.   With this new set, I've Been Framed, it has a variety of images.  When I saw it, I saw the hat frame and sentiment.

I decided to use the sentiment and some great hats.  My neice was given all her Grandmother's old hats.  Let me tell you, they made great hats back when.  We have used them for tea parties and had a blast.  So now, turning it masculine, I found some great hats that worked perfectly with the sentiment.  This paper looks so vintage and pairs up fantastically to make such a great masculine card!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the releases this week!

Eat Your Veg! June Release

Fresh from the garden with tons of a-peel is today's release!  I see tons of posibilities in this set.  I love the quirky, punny sentiments.

Today, I chose to use the chili pepper.  With those dorky googly eyes, it makes me laugh to add the sentiment.  I had this great vegi paper with the chili peppers to accompany the chili.  Some distressed ink makes this chili look like it is making a run for the boarder!

Are you ready to Eat Your Vegi's with this  cute set?

Check out what my team mates have made using The Eat Your Vegi set.  Thanks for stopping by and comments are welcome.

Open Bloom June Release

The girls in our family have decided to do a Christmas/Thriftmas this year.  The rules are you have to recycle something you have purchased at a thrift store, garage sale or have gotten for free.  I have made a great piece of home decor for my sister using the Open Bloom set.

I found a frame that was blaze orange at the thrift store.  A little green metalic paint will fix this. Then, I printed three flowers and colored them.  The flowers are inserted at different levels and views.  The sentiment was printed and now I have an upcycled, repurposed picture.  Now to wrap it and I am ready for the party.  Hope my sister likes her gift!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Beachy Keen

Are you spending your summer at the beach?  If not, Beachy Keen is a stamp set that will make you feel like you are a beach queen!

I just love the rolling clouds or ocean mist in this image.  Because I am not a fan of snails, they have left the beach.  The mixed media piece was made by using dark blue, blue and white paint.   After rolling it out,  a stencil was placed in white paint and rolled on the card.  Navy splatters were added for interest.  The image was colored and where the bech meets the ocean, it was cut down sround her legs to remove the snails.  Sand looking paper and a few shells were added  Now I have to say, this is a pretty beachy keen cool cardd!

Have a great summer and craft a little each day!

MHK Designer Inspiration: Jerrie

Little boy blue, come blow your horn..the sheeps in the meadow, the cows in the corn.
Being from Wisconsin, our landscape is full of barns, cows and tractors.

I have always liked this image and with a little color and patterened paper, this is truely a card that fits Wisconsin!  Since June is dairy month, this is the perfect month to showcase the Friendship digi set from MHK Designs.

I hope you join us this month for the challenge!  There are great sets available at MHK Designs.

O Happy Day!

These frogs are so silly and cute...how can you NOT fall in love with them?

My sister has a group that gets together and they have to have a card cut and ready for the gals to make.  I was a drop in and this was the card I brought.  The gals had fun making it and one lady said she was sending hers to Florida to her grandson.

Hope you have a Happy Day!

Sunrise, Sunset

Are you ready for one of the craziest cards I have ever made??

I think I used everything in the craft room to create this one!!

The background was created with distress paint and an embossing folder.  The brown edges are distress ink.  The sun and flowers were colored with distress inks and the flowers are highlighted with Vintage Photo.  Distress spray is used for the splatters.  There are four die cuts, the sun, happy and flowers.  Embossing powder is used to complete the birthday sentiment.

I really like how this card turned out.

Oh, darling but.what if you fly

I just love this image of the fairy sitting on the daisy.  I printed it out and it has been stashed in my "someday I am going to make" pile.

As I was looking through my pieces, there was this embossed flower paper.  Then I had a scrap of this distressed paper I had used on another project.  Put them all together and all of the sudden...one "fairy" cute card is created!!

The inside says "What if I fall?  Oh, darling but what if you fly?

STAMPlorations June Theme and Sketch

What is black and white with a pop of yellow?

This card using my absolute favorite STAMPlorations set, Bloom Sketches.  I think black and white cards  are classy.  I used a double boarder to bring out the daisy center.

This Bloom Sketches set is such a classic stamp set.  This was the first set I ordered when I became a stamp club member and it has gotten used!

Thanks for stopping by and thank you STAMPlorations for letting me guest design!
