B is for Birthday

B is for birthday and I have a very special person's birthday coming up.

I wanted to create a card with a party going on, on the outside and the inside. This card is for my very active, inquisitive grandson who will turn four July 30th. I think it will love the movement inside the card!!

The outside brings presents and fun. The inside rocks with presents and circles. An insert was made with peaks and valleys. Transparent strips were attached in these folds and presents were attached to look like they are floating in the card when it is opened. I think there is a party going on inside this card!!

I used distressed inks to stamp which is one of my favorite craft products.

The inside:

Stamps Used:

Read the Newsprint

The design team at STAMPlorations has this second birthday party rocking and they have invited us as guests! So to help celebrate, I made a birthday card for them. This card uses Nonni's inspiration from the mood board. I could not let STAMPlorations celebrate without adding a newsprint card to their gallery!!

Guess who's stamps I used:
STAMPlorations Blossom Overture and Celebrate Artsy

Happy Birthday 2 U

I am joining the celebration as STAMPlorations turns 2!! I have many of STAMPlorations stamp sets. I use the sets I have constantly. So I wanted to go all out for their birthday and use as many sets as I could in my card. Can you guess how many sets were used? I am using LauraJanes mood board card. It has the sentiment in the middle and the graphics on the outer part. I also had to use the grunge for Shery.

The Sunday Stamps sketch is perfect to reflect the mood board card.

Here are the sketch results

Congratulations to Shery as she celebrates STAMPlorations 2nd birthday and I wish them many more very happy birthdays!!

If you guessed four stamp sets, you are correct!

Samps used:
STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge, Happy, Old Type the number 2, and Bold Sentiments the U from beautiful.

Farmer's Market

Fruit is my summertime refreshment. Bring on the watermelon or cherries and I will challenge you to a pit spitting contest. Give me lemons and I will make you lemonade. Grapes will be frozen and added as ice cubes to cool my drink or eaten off the stem. My grandson and I go th the garden and spot red strawberries to pick and eat. I really think I could live off fresh fruit in the summer.

When I saw the Just Us Girls photo inspiration it reminded me of the farmer's market where they have all their sun kissed produce out on display to purchase.

And the Work It Wednesday at Simon Says Stamp theme is refreshments

So, I took all my fruit stamps...and created a fruit stand for the farmer's market. All my fruit is sun kissed and ripened to perfection!! I have to say, I think this is one of my favorite cards I have made.

Stamps used:
This is a very old set and I do not know the name but I think it is a TAC set.

To Many Hats

The challenge at Merry Monday is funky hats. How fun is that!!?

A moose has a lot of horns to hang hats on so I stamped hats on white card stock and fussy cut them. I stamped the moose and added the hats to the hear and horns. Then I added two black dots for the eyes.

America, the Beautiful

I love to see the American flag waving gently in the breeze. In my home town of Pine City Minnesota, when you come into town. down a hill. you see the flag at night with the lights beaming on the flag flowing so gently. I love this as the flag means so much to me.

How could I pass up the opportunity to make a card using red, white and blue?

The hymn to America The Beautiful was printed off for the background. Fired Brick and Peacock Feathers DI were used. From my stash I used two old Stamping Up stamp sets and some bling.

/

To complete the card, bling was used in the center of the flowers.

Hello Friend

Now this is funny. I know this card does not have a coffee cup on it but the paper is Latte stock from DCWV! With that being said, can it be a coffee card!!? I vote yes.

Using the Latte stock from DCWV and the Crazy Birds from Tim Holts, Hello Friend was created.

The inside says:

Camo Deer

The great outdoors. I think of campfires, birds singing and deer. We see tons of either coming into the yard, on the side of the road when driving, or at dusk eating in the edge of the fields. My grandson loves to spot the deer.

Using a piece of kraft paper, I stamped the trees in the background. Then I used embossing paste and stenciled the deer on white cardstock. After it dried, I put the stencil back over the embossed image, Using Old Paper DI, I sponged the horns. Then, using Close to Cocoa, Aged Mahogany DI and Vintage Photo DI I sponged the body of the deer. The finished image was placed under the camo banner that had a rectangle cut out of it. Twine and a button was wrapped at the top of the banner and black washi tape was placed on the lower portion of the banner.

Supplies Used:
Stamps STAMPlorations and Stamping UP
Stencil STAMPlorations
Ink Close to Cocoa SU, Old Paper, Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo DI
Misc button, twine

Special Blend

What a fantastic job Amy has done with the Coffee Lovers Bloghop!! A huge thank you to her for bringing all this creativity together!

I also thank all the sponsors for their generosity and support for the Coffee Lovers Bloghop!!

This is a special blend of pieces put together into a coffee card. The background is stenciled. Since mason jars are so hot right now, coffee beans were put in the jar. A coffee splash and stack of cups were added. Then a vintage looking coffee banner finishes the card.

Supplies for this card:
Hero Arts stamps
Clear Stamps mason jar
STAMPlorations stencil
Distressed Inks

At the Coffee Hop

Whoo Hoo! The Summer Coffee Lovers bloghop!! I am brewing up a cup of Donut Shop Coconut coffee getting ready to be amazed by all the creativity I am about to see on the hop!

I have been in a rut using newsprint...but just used the last page of my magazine. I used embossing paste and stenciled it on newsprint. After it dried, I used Distress Paints, to color the stenciling. I stapmed the coffee cup on newsprint and colored some parts of it. A heart die cut works perfectly with the sentiment. A few pearls were added in the upper right part of the heart.

Supplies used:
STAMPlorations stamp and stencil
Tim Holtz die cut and distress paints

Sending A Whole Latte Love Your Way

Stenciling is not my go to stamp supply, but I have decided to work more with my stencils. Using Worn Lipstick DI and a stencil, I sponged a darker center and faded to the outside of the card. A black strip of paper, a Tim Holtz Scribbles die cut, steam and sentiment were added. This follows the STAMPlorations Monthly sketch #35 design so I stamped their Latte Love and sentiment, cut out the cup and popped up.

Coffee Rings

Every morning I wipe up coffee rings on the counter. I think we have the house with the leakest coffee cups because I have coffee rings everywhere...even on this card!

I used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch. A few coffee beans and coffee rings were added. Happy Birthday was stamped. the bottom edge coffee was stamped around the circle and the coffee cup was added.
