Foiled

Are you looking for a fun way to make cards?  This is like the Trix rebbit that magically appears. An image was printed on cardstock using laser  print ink.  A piece of foil was placed on  the printed part and it was sent through the laminator.  When the foil was  pulled  back, the image retained the foil.

The base of  the card was embossed.   The image piece  was layered with silver cardstock and magically your card is finished.

BackTo School

It is official, the start of this school year is August 31st.  The chatter of each student greeting each other in the halls is imminent!  I have a junior this year and he has the notebooks and pencils ready to go.  Just waiting for the yellow bus to appear...but  he has reminded me...one more week of sleeping in!

This card used the acrylic block stamping technique.  The pencil was made with Copics and a strip of paper.

Peace ATC

With everything going on all over the world these days, we need a little peace!  Everytime I see the peace sign in jewlry, I buy it...don't ask me why.  Perhaps it reminds me of the tie dye and peace emblems from my childhood.

After making the background, a stencil was used.  Paint was applied to  the A  and it was stamped.  The rest  of the  word  was stamped  and silver  thread and a peace charm was added.

Happy Birthday Crab

The signs of summer are appearing...school supplies in the store, school bulletins in the mail, tomato vines drying up, etc.  

So, using my beach summer stamps a few more times before I switch to fall stamps!

Sending You Love

Sending you love and lots of it!!  I have not made an ATC and this was fun!  There is just a little space to work with  and  you need to  plan your design before you begin!

I used an envelope stamp that had a heart and began stamping and masking to fill the space.  The love embellishment had been sticking to everything on my workspace and needed a permenant home!!

Adjust Your Sails

What a great quote for a nautical card!

After stamping and masking the ship, a stencil and circle template add the background sun.  Two sails were fussy cut and popped up. Afew waves of water and sentiment complete the card.

Just For You

Scrafting weekend with family is so much fun.  It is a time to catch up on what is going on in their families lives, laugh and create.  We also get to use their crafty supply goodies!

This background die adds texture and fun to the background.  A few die cuts dipped in purple oxide and the background square with some green oxide makes a very simple card.

Galaxy

This weekend, the Color Bursts and white paint created this galaxy background.  It amazes me to see the Color Burst in action spreading across the paper.  When you add colors you never know what the finished look will be.

The space ship was colored with Copic markers.

OMGoshm. does this card have chicken pox?  The chicken is splattered with brown and ivory and has either shed or is getting chicken pox!
