I saw Barbara's technique and was so impressed with it, I had to try it. I was so nervous because you cover everything up with black DI.
I sprayed the distress sprays on the paper. Then I layered die cuts on top of the paper and covered the whole thing with Black Soot DI. When it dried and I removed the die cuts...magic happened. I splattered some white paint on the front layer and black paint on the back layer. The butterfly and Happy birthday are embossed. I added a few white punched pieces and OH MY, BUTTERFLY!
