The great outdoors. I think of campfires, birds singing and deer. We see tons of either coming into the yard, on the side of the road when driving, or at dusk eating in the edge of the fields. My grandson loves to spot the deer.
Using a piece of kraft paper, I stamped the trees in the background. Then I used embossing paste and stenciled the deer on white cardstock. After it dried, I put the stencil back over the embossed image, Using Old Paper DI, I sponged the horns. Then, using Close to Cocoa, Aged Mahogany DI and Vintage Photo DI I sponged the body of the deer. The finished image was placed under the camo banner that had a rectangle cut out of it. Twine and a button was wrapped at the top of the banner and black washi tape was placed on the lower portion of the banner.

Aunt J, this is a PERFECT guy card. I love this stencil and, although I haven't used it much yet, I just know I'm going to make my dad's father's day card with it. Super awesome card!
ReplyDeleteBecca, I was working on this card with a stamp and it just was not happening. When STAMPlorations had their stencil bloghop I saw your white deer card and thought...that is the stencil I need. I ordered it and anxiously waited for it to come. As soon as I unwraped it...the embossing paste was flying. This stencil will be used...I may have to order another one because I plan on wearing it out!!
DeleteWonderful masculine card. Love the papers you used and the card layout!
