I have been having fun using dry wall tape as a dimension. Shery Russ at STAMPlorations did a tutorial on it. Shery must be a patient soul because for me, it was a slow process. I wanted to lift the drywall tape with each splattering of distress ink but did not because I was afraid it would move the pattern. When I was finished with the stenciling I saw the red on top of the hearts and the pink in the dry wall pattern below. It looked like the red was bleeding down and I liked the look. So, I stamped the swirl in greeen, cut the ribbon hearts out with a Memory Box die and then saved all the heart pieces to put back inside the cut out. I know...that is why it is a die cut...but the image did not look filled in against the background. I dipped the ribbon ends in Fired Brick DI. I stamped I love you in the swirls and added white sequins. I like this clean and simple card.
I love you supports:

This is one of the most original and lovely cards I've seen in quite some time! I've never tried the technique you described, so I was very interested to learn how you created the different layers of pattern and texture. I really like how it all comes together. Great color choice and those hearts are adorable with the top halves filled in and the bottoms more textured. Really amazing work and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
