Thank You Birdie

Hi stamping friends!  Today for the Spring Fling I am using ONE stamp set!  If you are just starting to collect STAMPlorations stamps, For The Birds is a great set to start with.

Start by cutting one and a half inches off the bottom of the front of the card stock.  Then  repeatedly stamp the sentiment on the rest of the front.  Glue a one and a half inch piece of patterned paper on the bottom of the back cardstock.  You can pick any color in the patterned paper  to do your stamping with.  In this case, pink, green, yellow or brown would have worked too.  Stamp and fussy cut your bird.  A small strip of solid paper was glued to the front of the card.  An oval tab, greenery, twine and an eye was added to the bird.

Don't forget to hop along and leave comments for a chance to win prizes!  I hope you make this one stamp set wonder!

Ruffled Feathers

Hi stamping friends!  A little birdie told me STAMPlorations is having a spring fling blog hop filled with inspiration and prizes!

Are you ready for a colorful card?  Birds were stamped across the card and colored in with every color I could find!  A strip of patterned and solid paper were added at the bottom of the card.  To finish the card, a die cut and black eyes were added to the birds.

My fellow STAMPgirls have tons of inspiration on their blogs so be sure to hop and leave comments!  Have a colorful day!

Watercolor Hello

Are you as ready for spring as I am?  The snow is melting here and the temperature is sstarting to heat up!  Time to brighten up the colors, add some flowers and play along with STAMPlorations theme this month

Using happy colors, yellow, pink and green watercolors were swiped on the card panel.  I love how the watercolors have darker and lighter tones.  The daisy was stamped and watercolored.  Once popped up with dimensionals, white splatters were added.  Leaves were stamped and fussy cut.  A die cut hello, sentiment and sequins finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a bright sun kissed day!

Island Girl

AAH spring, glorious spring!  The temps are heating up, the flowers will be sprouting and the birds will be chirping!  I forgot to mention STAMPlorations is hosting a spring fling blog hop for 12 glorious days!  Yup, a post each day filled with tons of inspiration and chances to win prizes!

We are starting this spring fling hop with a newly released face stencil.  These stencils are just the base and you can create the rest however you want!  One word here...versatile!

I started by tracing through the stencil with a fine point black sharpie.  I used a red sharpie for her lips. Then I took a pencil and lightly penciled in the hairline.  I went around the hairline with leaves.  The hair was filled in with flowers and by partially stamping the flower outline with brown.  Using another stencil, the areas around the  image was stenciled with pink.  A button with the shaft removed was glued in the center of the large flower.  Adding a word die finishes off this island girl!

For more inspiration, hop along with the other STAMPgirls and leave them some comments!  Come back each day to see the new inspiration and happy spring!

A Cup Full Of Spring

Spring time brings new colors and flowers!

Using paints, they were spread to create the background.  Then stamps add some of the interest.  A cup was stamped and colored.  Then, it was filled with leaves and flowers.  Buttons were used for the flower center.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your spring.  The birds are starting to sing each morning!
