Dragonfly

Just a fun card today that is perfect for the weather.  It is sunny outside and the colors are starting to pop out.  There is a smell of lilac in the air.

I like to have thinking of you cards on hand.

Little One

 It is a girl!  My nephew and his wife just announced they are expecitng a little girl!  This is their first baby and I am so excited for them!!

A little onsie is erfect for the shower card!  Using blue, yellow, pink and a stencil, a fun background was created complete with rattles and bottles.

Flamingo

 What a line up of inspiration for today's post!  Let me explain  the inpiration taken from each photo below:

                             The daintiness of the bleeding hearts with the pink and white colors.  The die cuts.

Case This Sketch

The color theme of pink, black, gold and white.  The stripes on the bow pillow.  Besides the colors, the design on the carpet and the gold accent color were my biggest inspiration.  This is a clean and layered card.

And from the Time Out Challenge  'Flowers and Friends make life a garden'  .   The word friend was 
 used.



               

The card base is embossed.  The black and white piece on the base is washi tape on the label die cut.   The stripes are on the pink paper and the gold is the accent gems.

Dogs laugh with their tails!  Man's best friend is a dog!  There are many quotes that are very funny about these animals that give us so much joy.

I saw this wag o meter on a the Paper Pups Cricut cartridge and giggled.  I had to go on the card!!

Using up the bits and pieces(UFO's), I had this dog inlay piece to use.  After laying the paper, he gets his dog tags.

Sparkling Elephant

A whole lot of bright coming your way!!  This pink elephant is loaded with sparkle and a ton of fun!

Pink elephants you say?  This one fits into the Honey I shrunk the elephant catagory!

Trendy Butterfly

This is what happens when you clean your craft room.  I have a container of alcohol inks that have sat on the shelf for...lets just say years.  I have watched videos on alcohol inks and they  just sat in the container.  I considered the inks my retirement stuff!! 

Today is use  the alcohol inks day.  I used photo paper and dropped blobs of ink.  I put the blender on top and moved the paper to let it do it's thing.  I love the design it created.  Then I stamped with a black ink pad the music and script images.  It was bold and beautiful. 

To put the card together, a piece of corrugated paper, twine and a key  was added.  A butterfly and sentiment was added.  This may be a freestyle collage.

I had so much fun playing with the alcohol inks and spent the day using different colors and paper.  I will be posting the finished cards in the future.

Home Sweet Home

Hold on tightly to those you love!  That is the saying I have hanging in the entry way of my home.  I have three boys and when the two grown boys come to visit, this home is CRAZY!

This card started out with a different color scheme and idea.  Using some of the original elements and different colors, home sweet home was done!
